Meet our School Administrators

Dr. Luvenia Zimmer
It is my honor to serve in my 6th year as principal of Leslie M. Stover Middle School. I am committed to upholding our mission to educate all students for success. With nearly 30 years in education, I’ve had the privilege of serving at every level—from elementary to college—with the past 21 years as a principal in three South Carolina school districts. I am humbled to have been named the 2025–2026 South Carolina Middle Level Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators.
My leadership journey includes launching the first School for the Arts in Chester County School District, leading the first NAEYC Accredited School in Richland School District One, and providing the leadership for Stover Middle School to achieve Initial and Redesignation I Schools to Watch recognition, as well as becoming the first and only AVID Schoolwide site in Kershaw County School District.
I currently serve on the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA) Executive Board as the President-Elect for the Middle Level Affiliate, as well as on the Board of Directors for Pathways for Healing. I am a Schools to Watch Evaluator and actively involved in several professional organizations. I have published numerous articles, presented at conferences, and continue to share my musical talents as a flautist at various events.
A proud Gamecock, I earned all of my academic degrees from the University of South Carolina. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in Flute Performance, a Master’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration, an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Administration, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. In addition, I hold certifications in the following areas: elementary principal and supervisor, secondary principal and supervisor, music education, elementary education, and superintendent.
Most importantly, I am the proud mother of three boys (and two fur babies), and I remain deeply committed to ensuring that every student at Stover reaches their highest potential.

I’m thrilled to begin my journey as Assistant Principal of Stover Middle School!
With a strong foundation in teaching and learning, I began my teaching career 16 years ago, teaching middle school social studies in Lee and Richland Counties. While in Richland County School District Two, I served as the AVID site coordinator, Project Based Learning Coach, and Soar Program Lead at my school. More recently, I taught World Geography for 2 years at Stover Middle School where I served on the MTSS Leadership Team and as the National Junior Honor Society faculty advisor.
I am certified in middle and secondary level social studies and in secondary administration.
I earned a Bachelor of History degree, Master of Teaching degree in Secondary Education, Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, all from the University of South Carolina.
My husband, Jonathan, and I live in Elgin with their three children: Jordyn, Jonathan, and Jaxon.

Mrs. Jennifer Hoiland
It is a privilege to continue working into my third year as an administrator here at Stover Middle School. This is my 18th year in education and before I went into administration, I taught sixth and seventh grade Social Studies here at Stover Middle School. I have been on the school’s leadership team since 2010, and currently serve as a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team Lead and School Testing Coordinator.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Sam Houston State University, a master’s degree in Instructional Accommodations from Francis Marion University, and a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina.
I am certified in middle level social studies, physical education K-12, and in secondary administration.
I completed the South Carolina Department of Education Foundations of Leadership course in 2014 and participated in the Kershaw County Developing Administrators Program during the 2022-2023 school year.
I was a military child growing up and lived in many places, but I call Elgin my home now. I am married to my wonderful husband, have three amazing sons and a sweet pup. In my free time, I enjoy working out and spending time with my family.
